Gradients are awesome. They can add a nice touch of depth to your illustration or logo — and you can create them easily.
In this short tutorial, we’ll cover the basics of adding and refining a gradient inside Adobe Illustrator.

Here’s how to do it:

1. You can open the Gradient window by choosing Window > Gradient from the top menu.
2. Then select an object to that you want to apply a color gradient.
3. Click the swatch in the gradient window, or use the keyboard shortcut < to customize the gradient’s color, opacity, and angle.

Quick Tip: By 1st saving your desired colors to the Swatches window, you will be able to quickly apply those color swatches to your gradients.
